SSL is not a requirement for Archive Manager and you will need to refer to the IIS documentation or Microsoft for configuration and troubleshooting assistance. Once SSL is enabled however you need to update Archive Manager to be aware of this change.
1) Open the Configuration Console and go to Advanced Settings and update the 'AfterMail URL' to reflect the correct URL with HTTPS as the prefix; this would be similar to HTTPS:\\hostname.domain.com
Restart the Archive Manager Exchange Store Manager service for the change to take affect.
2) Use the Exchange Utility to update the URL of any message stubs in Exchange due to a Strip Message Policy.
If you have never used a stripping message policy you can skip the Exchange Utility step.
