There is a known issue with how MessageStats will handle Mail Enabled Users that have not been mailbox enabled. By default, there is a system policy that exists called Mail Enabled Recipient, which will ensure that all mail enabled recipients have all of the necessary properties it needs. If this policy has not run, the legacyExchangeDN property will not be set. As a result, two warnings will occur for each of these objects. In addition, the object will not be written to the database. Once the System Policy is run, the object will have all of its necessary information and will be gathered successfully by MessageStats.

WORKAROUND
The root scenario that is causing this warning is the following. If a user is created, and then mail enabled (but not mailbox enabled), the object will not have all of its properties in place. The key property is the legacyExchangeDN, as this property is used to quote traffic in Exchange Tracking Logs. In addition, it is the key property in searching and storing objects in the database. Without this property, MessageStats logs a warning and does not process this object into the database.
There is an Organization System Policy called Mail Enabled Recipient. The goal of this policy is to ensure that all of the objects have all of the necessary properties that they need.
Microsoft Knowledgebase Article ID 253770 - XADM: "Tasks performed by the Exchange Recipient Update Service" describes this policy: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/253770/en-us.
