When executing normal activities the sp_ctrl session hangs and no other commands can be executed, neither open a new sp_ctrl session. It will only releases after killing existing sp_ctrl & sp_cnc sessions.
This issue might be related to a file access lock, observed when $SP_SYS_VARDIR is installed on non-local FS.
Increase the value of SP_SHS_MAXLOCK from the default (12) value. This parameter controls the Max number of protected writers for SharePlex files.
