Resolution
thsi might indicate that you don’t have the right version of SQL Server client tools installed on the Diagnostic Server host.
The error message says:
Cannot connect to Analysis Services version '10.0.4000.0'.Notice that is has the version number in the message; this error is coming from the Microsoft library. So you need to have the 2008 SQL Server client tools installed on the Diagnostic Server host.
(10.0.4000.0 = SQL Server 2008 SP2)
