Attachment indexing is failing and an error similar to the following example can be observed in the Event Log:

FullTextIndex.Service: Error Starting Attachment Worker
DEP (Data Execution Prevention) is preventing the Full Text Index Service from launching the FTIAttachmentWorker.exe child process.
Make a DEP exception for the FTIAttachmentWorker.exe executable in the AM installation folder.
To add a DEP exclusion:
1. Stop the Full Text Index Service
2. Click Start | Run
3. Type "sysdm.cpl"
4. Click the "Advanced" tab
5. Under "Performance", click "Settings"
6. Click the "Data Execution Prevention" tab.
7. Either add the FTIAttachmentWorker.exe executable as an exception or set DEP to only be on for "Essential Windows programs and services"
8. Start the Full Text Index Service
