The following error can be observed in the Application Event Log of an Exchange server processed by Archive Manager for an Archive Manager service account.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 9667
Description:
Failed to create a new named property for database "<Storage Group name>\<Mailbox Store name>" because the number of named properties reached the quota limit (8192).
User attempting to create the named property: "ArchiveMgr_Journal"
Named property GUID: <GUID>
Named property name/id: "<ID>"
This is not an Archive Manager specific problem as Outlook also registers named properties. An Archive Manager service account may generate several thousand of these errors due to the amount of mail being processed and the fact that Archive Manager will just keep trying to register a named property. This means that the first time the error is encountered, Archive Manager may be erroneously attributed as the cause.
The named property limit can be increased via a registry key change on affected Exchange servers.
