You will see two files available for version 9.5 on the download site. Which one should be used to install Spotlight on Oracle 9.5?
- Spotlight on Oracle 9.5 .MSI Installer
- Spotlight on Oracle 9.5 .MSI Installer (64-Bit)
Use the first installer if your default Oracle client is 32bit on the machine where you are installing Spotlight.
Use the second installer (64) if your default Oracle client is 64bit on the machine where you are installing Spotlight.
Please note that the installer type is pertaining to the Oracle 'bitness' not the O/S (O/S is irrelevant).
You can verify if your Oracle is 64bit or 32bit by issuing SQLplus command on machine where Spotlight is going to be installed. If it says 64bit it means you need to use 64bit installer, if it doesn't say it menas 32bit (use the other installer).
