Video: How to remove historical data from the MSDB and LiteSpeed repositories (4337121)

The LiteSpeed Activity tables and repositories are taking up a lot of space, much of the historical data contained is now redundant. How can I remove or cleanup historical data?

LiteSpeedLocal and LiteSpeedCentral repositories are taking up too much disk space.

WORKAROUND:

Manually remove data. Set LiteSpeedLocal and/or LiteSpeedCentral to SIMPLE recovery mode.

Beginning with Version 5.2, there is a "Clean Up History" task on Maintenance Plans.
The task includes the following choices:
Select the historical data to delete
Backup & Restore History, SQL Server Agent job history, Maintenance Plan History

LiteSpeed historical data:
LiteSpeed activity history from Local Repository
LiteSpeed activity history from Central Repository
