If you have a license for TOAD for SQL Server DBA Suite, with Spotlight on SQL Server(SoS) Desktop included, the Desktop licenise will expire after trial period and Spotlight on SQL Server Desktop edition will need separate license key - it won't be licensed trough Toad.
Resolution
Toad for SQL Server DBA Suite includes SoS Desktop but the two products are licensed separately
where, SoS Desktop doesn’t accept Toad license key.
You need to obtain Spotlight on SQL Server Desktop 9.0 license separately.
Additional Information
Spotlight on SQL Server 9.1 is the successor of Spotlight on SQL Server Desktop 9.0.
Desktop 8.5 or 9.0 is upgradable to 9.1.
We no longer call 9.1 “Desktop” but we call it “Standard” if you want to distinguish it from Enterprise edition.
Standard will be shipped with Toad suite in the future and it will work with Toad licence.
