Which privileges do I need in order to install and run Toad and make a connection in Windows 7?
Note that the user account control (UAC) is enabled on the computer
Please find below the privileges needed in order to install and run Toad for Oracle, make a connection, and do basic operations:
Windows 7(This also applies to Windows 7)
Read access to the Oracle client folder Read/write privileges on the Oracle Homes directories that you use for your connections
If UAC (user account control) is enabled, you must have administrator privileges
Note: Other functionality in Toad may require additional privileges.
