In Toad for Oracle, the Team Foundation Server (TFS) VCS Logon Prompt does not show up even if Team coding is set up.
WORKAROUND 1
If you connect to the Team Foundation Server using Windows Authentication, please ensure that the TFS machine is in the network Domain. If it is not on the Domain, it will not recognize the Windows user, but would only recognize another user that is also not in the Domain.
WORKAROUND 2
If you have Visual Studios 2010 or Team Explorer installed on the machine, try using it to connect to the Team Foundation Server. If there are permission errors, ask the TFS admin to grant the required privileges before Toad can connect successfully.
WORKAROUND 3
In Provider Options window, for the Server Name field, it is only necessary to enter the server name itself and not the entire the connection string. In the background Toad builds the string by itself. Exclude "http" and "/tfs" in this field.
