How to determine what versions of the KACE Agent (and the number of Clients running those agent(s)) are deployed in the appliance environment.
Scenario
In some situations, there is a need to know what version(s) of the agent that have inventoried into the KACE appliance. This can help determine, which Clients need to update, which Clients have updated, what agent versions are installed, or the tabulated numbers of all agent(s) in the appliance inventory.
This information can be used to assist in locating the needs (or possible concerns) in the appliance networked inventory. To locate this information there are two ways it can be achieved, via an INVENTORY view or as a REPORT. Here are the ways this can be performed:
INVENTORY VIEW
First, log into the appliance with Administrative privilege’s and then proceed to the INVENTORY-SOFTWARE page view.
Go to: INVENTORY--> SOFTWARE--> go to the "Search" field [at top right] place in the field KACE AGENT and then click Enter.
The page will now display the results of the "Search" and provide a list of agent versions inventoried into the appliance.
Additionally, if it is needed to see specific Clients with the respective version they have installed, this can be located by [clicking] the hyper-links of the name of the KACE Agent and this will produce a listing of those clients with that corresponding agent version.
REPORT VIEW
First, log into the appliance with a profile/permissions that allow you to create a REPORT (i.e. Administrator).
Go to: REPORTING--> CHOOSE ACTION--> NEW (Wizard) [click on the New-Wizard] This will open a new page and it will need you to complete the required fields for the information.

Step 5 of 5 FILTERS For Version 6.4

*NOTE* When the report is run, the DEVICES results listed will be shown for each version of the agent that is inventoried in the appliance. This may make for a long listing depending on how many Clients you have inventoried. Simply scroll up and down the page to see the names of the clients in HTML, PDF, TXT, etc. It may be considered a better option to use the CSV format so that it can be sorted and counted easier.
