Description
SoSSE crashes whenever we want to see the Statement Details in Workload Analysis.
We can see the hourglass for a while and then it completely crashes with the error message "Spotlight on SQLServer has stopped working". -
Cause
Check the NET versions installed on the computer -
Resolution
Make sure the .NET client requirements are met .These requirements can be found here:

Check also the Windows Event Viewer in the computer where the Spotlight client is crashing.
In this case Windows was complaining about Framework version: v4.0.30319.
After removing this NET version everything was fine.
