Error: "ORA-03115: unsupported network datatypes or representation." when viewing CLOB/LOB's data
Description

Error received when viewing data in the Schema Browser Table | Data tab for a table with a LOB datatype:

"ORA-03115: unsupported network datatypes or representation."

The same error message will appear if user executes a SELECT statement in the SQL Editor Window.
Cause

Connecting to an 8.x database using an 7.x client. All the LOBs datatypes did not exist in Oracle 7.
Resolution

Install an Oracle 8i or higher Orcle client to view the LOBs datatypes.
