Toad does not pick up my settings even though I have migrated them using the Initial Setup Wizard -
Cause
The User Files folder is being picked up directly and the Wizard is looking for the User Files subfolder.

Resolution
After installation and upon first run, Toad 11 asks me if I want to lay down a clean install or copy from a prior one. When Toad presents the Initial Setup window , it’s looking for previous versions in the App Data folder structure.
If your previous version of Toad is 9.6.1 or older or you have placed your old User Files folder in another place, Toad is not going to find anything there.
You will need to browse where your user Files Folder is ( for versions 9.6.1 and older it is in Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\.
Here’s the important bit. When browsing for the folder, don’t navigate all the way down to Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files. Instead, stop short at the Toad for Oracle folder. This is where Toad is looking for the User Files subfolder.
