How to prevent archiving of Lync Conversation Messages
Description

Archive Manager processes the message class IPM.NOTE by default, there are few situations in which few Message Class needs to be excluded from Archiving.
Resolution

To Exclude the Lync Conversation Messages, Please follow the below steps
1. Open Archive Manager Configuration Console
2. Select Advanced Settings | Click Add
3. In the Add Config Property , type Exchange Ignore Message Classes | Enter IPM.NOTE.MICROSOFT.CONVERSATION
4. Click Next | Finish
5. Restart the Exchange Store Message Service
