Check-out prompts to check-out both spec and body even if only one of them is opened -
Description
When checking-out either a body of spec, the check-out window proposes to check-out both spec and body even if only one of them is opened. This is occurring instead of only opening the item currently loaded in the Editor. This takes place if an object (procedure or package) is opened in the Editor window and the check-out button is pressed. -
Cause
This behavior is by design. -
Resolution
RESOLUTION
Toad for Oracle treats both spec and body as a pair, meaning that if one of them is select for checked-out, the other one will also get prompted for check-out. The same applies to check-in.
