A Shareplex process errors out with "12035 - OCISessionBegin failed with ORA-1033" -
Description
The following messages are observed in the event_log while the respective process (typically Capture, Read or Post) just hangs:
Warning 2009-12-15 10:41:22.545000 2744 2780 Poster: 12035 - OCISessionBegin failed with ORA-1033. (posting from server_name, queue queue_name, to server_name) [module osp] -
Cause
The database may be in the process of shutdown or startup.

Resolution
The error is observed when the database is shutdown or started while Shareplex is still running. Once the database is successfully started or shutdown, the error will not be seen in event log. If the error keeps appearing persistently, then there are problems with startup or shutdown. Such problems typically are resource issues or disk issues. Check the Oracle alert log to look for clues about the problem and address them before Oracle can be successfully bounced. At that point the errors will not appear in the event log.
