Does Foglight has any dependency alerting? -
Description
Was wondering if Foglight has any dependency alerting. If a server goes down say not pingable, is there a way Foglight will not alert on subsequent monitoring parameters such as DB monitored on the same server?
For Example:
On our current monitoring applications if a server is down we get the following:Ping alertDatabase availability alertProcess down alertWill Foglight be able to automatically suppress monitoring of other parameters if ping is unavailable due to server down? -
Resolution
Foglight does not provide any capability to suppress monitoring of other parameters if ping is unavailable due to server down.If those agents remain collecting data which triggers a TRUE condition for their respective rule, then that alert is generated.
