How to retain historical data when database server is migrated? -
Description
Database server has been migrated to new hardware with same hostname but different IP address. Collector is installed and is working fine. What steps is needed to retain existing data with newly captured data after database is migrated to the new server?

Resolution
Short-term repository: The folder structure on the middleware is host-SID. This has not been changed.
Long-term repository: The long term repository is on the repository database. During the collector installation (on new server, new ip address), connect to existing repository.
