Upgrading the LiteSpeed license from Evaluation (or Trial) to Enterprise (or permanent) will not affect the maintenance plans or scheduled jobs.
To upgrade from trial to enterprise (or permanent) license version, simply register Litespeed with the permanent/enterprise license key; no reinstallation is required. Select Start | All Programs | Imceda | LiteSpeed | Registration, then elect 'Register your copy of LiteSpeed' and enter the permanent license key into the white (lower) pane of the window. Click Next then Finish.
Note: Litespeed does not perform backups when the trial license has expired. To ensure Litespeed job's continuity, please ensure that there is no lapse between trial license's expiry to the time that a commercial production (permanent) license is registered.
The error message that displays in the job history and in the SQL Server error log reads similarly to:
Server: Msg 49999, Level 19, State 1, Line 0
Evaluation Expired! LiteSpeed 4.8.0.00065 evaluation has expired.
