LOGSHIPPING error: You cannot select a server instance without LiteSpeed installed as a subscribe
Description

You may get a similar error when setting up LogShipping:
You cannot select a server instance without LiteSpeed installed as a subscriber.
When checking the subscriber, the application will appear to be installed correctly.
Cause

There may be corruption with the registration of the instance.
Resolution

Try unregistering the instance in the LiteSpeed Console on the publisher. Right click on the instance and select 'Delete SQL Server Registration'.
Then re-add the instance. Right click again on the instance and select 'New SQL Server Registration'.
