Named instance is not being discovered automatically in Litespeed console
Description
Named instance is not being discovered automatically. In some instances, the server name is discovered, but the named instance is not.

From Litespeed console, this can occur in the following dialog boxes:
- Register New Server
- Logshipping Subscriber | Select SQL Server Instance dialog
Cause
Possible causes :
- There is a firewall between the client and the server.
- There is a network issue.
- Product defect.
Resolution

To select the servername, and type in the instance name manually.
