During the migration of Domino.doc content to Sharepoint unable to translate the Domino.doc "Document Type" to a Content Type in Sharepoint.
When attempting to map the Document Type to the "ContentType" or "ContentTypeId" field, the following error is returned:
"SharePoint field 'ContentTypeId' is a read only field"
Make sure the following steps are taken:
1) Create the site Content Types first (Under Site Collection, Site Content Type Gallery, Create), use "Document" as the Parent type.
2) On the first migration, have Migrator for Notes SharePoint create the Documents List in SharePoint (without the ContentType mapping)
3) On the created SharePoint list, click "Advanced Settings", to turn on "Allow management of content types"
4) Add the Content types created in step 1
5) In MNSP, add "ContentType" as a new SharePoint Field, Type is "Text", ContentTypes are the content type created in Step 1-separated by semicolons.
6) Map the Notes "DocType" to the SharePoint "ContentType"
To validate the mapping do the following:
1) Add a validation column that maps the Notes, DocType field mapped to a new field in SharePoint called, "MyContentType" Type: Text
2) Add "ContentType" and "MyContentType" to the default SharePoint "all items" view
3) After Migration, visually inspect if Notes Migrator for SharePoint assigned the right SharePoint ContentType based on the Notes DocType.
