Characters disappearing when copying from Toad Editor and pasting in Word 2010, Evernote or Outlook
Description

With the "Copy text in rich text format" option activated, when pasting special characters such as å,ä,ö,Å,Ä,Ö from Toad for Oracle 12.10, 12.9 or 12.8 into Word, Evernote or Outlook, the characters disappear. Pasting them as "Text only" has no issues but the Rich Text Format is lost.
Cause

This is caused by how Toad for Oracle handles RTF from the version 12.8 onwards.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
Disable "Copy text in rich text format" option in View | Toad Options | Editor | Behavior and apply the format after pasting the text.
STATUS:
This issue has been fixed in Toad for Oracle 12.11. The latest version can be downloaded through this link.
