The active log of the TSM server increases until it crashes during a LiteSpeed backup.
Description

The active log of the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) server increases until it crashes during a LiteSpeed backup.

This occurs only for large databases over 1TB which contain certain JPEG, PDF or TIFF files.
Cause

This issue is caused by a product defect in LiteSpeed.
Resolution

WORKAROUND
None.

Issue fixed in version 8.9. The latest version of LiteSpeed for SQL Server can be downloaded here
