I can see when the MessageStats Default Gathering is running it is only running 8 processes it is possible to have it use more than 8 processes at a time if I have alot of resources still avaiable on my server. (CPU and Memory)
Follow the steps below to spawn more processes during the gathering Tasks. (Please increase slowly and find out how many your server can handle at a given time. Also be aware that excessively increasing the number of Task processors per Task execution server can adversely affect performance on the MessageStats database SQL server which will be submitted to a higher number of read/write requests)
1. With in the MessageStats console Expand Task Execution Servers and select Properties
2. Click on the Task Processors Tab.
3. Drag the bar over to the desired amount of Task processors.
