Error: "The authentication service is unknown" when perform discovery process in Resource Updating Manager (RUM) Console
This is due to the old RUM agent still installed on the computers whereby the RUM Console had been upgraded to newer version of Quest Migration Manager.
WORKAROUND:
In the RUM console management:
1. Right-click the node of the collection or category or computer objects that need to clean up.
2. Select Create Task | Cleanup and follow the wizard for the process and run the task. This will remove the old RUM Agent installed on the computers
3. To start discovery of a particular computer or collection, right-click it and select Create Task | Discovery and follow the wizard for the process and run the task. This will deploy new RUM Agent to the computers.
