When trying to save an open Model, the Save and Save As options are greyed out. Why are they not available?
Solution:
It is most likely because you may be using a Navigator license which is a Read Only version of erwin DM, besides some other limitations as well. To check the license version check the Help | About. It will most probably show the erwin Data Modeler Navigator Edition.
