Issue
We sent the Notes Migrator Decrypt button to the end user, when they click the button they stated nothing happened. We looked at the environment, and we confirmed the user clicked the button and nothing happened. What would cause this?
Solution
The issue could be due to the button was not signed correctly. If the Migration Administrator didn't sign the button properly then you have to sign the button by performing the following:
Go to Notes Migrator - 'Configuration - Message Templates' view
Edit the decrypt message template
Right Click on the button and select "Edit button"
Make a change to the code in the button by adding a space and then remove it
Save the template. This will sign the button with the notes id you are using.
Possible Cause: When you sent the button to the user, and they received an ECL warning prompt the user might have chosen not to execute the button in the ECL warning(default selection), the next time the user clicks the button it will not do anything because the user set the ECL permissions to prevent execution of any and all code sign by this user.
Confirm if the button signer is listed in the users ECL.
Please have the user go to file/security/user security and then choose "What other do" and then choose "Using workstation" and take a screenshot of that and send that to us. And also tell us which notes ID did you used to sign the decrypt button with? So we can see their ECL and figure what is going on.
Do you know if the user received the email for the decryption button summary report please? Another thing to check, was there any error message in the status bar of the Notes client when they click on the button.
