Our SNMP traps for the "Remote Agent Managers State per Host" rule was previously working but some reason we have stopped receiving them when the alarm triggers.
Here's an example alert which was previously received:
========= Trap attributes ==============
The Foglight Agent Manger (FglAM) adapter is the component that generates this alarm and as a result the Foglight Management Server (FMS) considers localhost 127.0.0.1 as the origin of this trap.
Customer's SNMP Administrator had set a filter on their SNMP receiver to remove any 'localhost' 127.0.0.1 originated traps.
This customer used the SMART SNMP trap software and had configured the SMART filter to prevent any SNMP traps from localhost 127.0.0.1.
Since the "Remote Agent Managers State per Host" rule originated from 127.0.0.1 as shown by the previous SNMP trap:
========= Trap attributes ==============
The SMART Administrator removed this filter to resolve.
