03-001 Attempt was made to exceed license server count error but the servers are already registered

The source and target servers are visible in the license servers list, but the above error is generated when the job runs.

 

The source and/or target device may have multiple IP Addresses/DNS Name(s) so it appears as different devices to the Secure Copy License Validation Server.

Locate the source/target server names as they appear in the Secure Copy License status section. Click “Help | License | License Status” from the main menu.

Verify the server names as they appear in the Licensed Servers list.

Open the “hosts” file in “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc” on the machine where Secure Copy is installed.

Add the IP address and source and target names in the FQDN format to the “hosts” file, and select “File” | “Save”.

The job should now run successfully.
