After you have added a mailbox to the Target or Source Storage and you try and expand the Mailbox you will be prompted for credentials and it will not accept the password. If you then hit the cancel button you will get an error like:
Outlook cannot log on. Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Follow the steps below for a workaround.
1. Ctrl + Left Click on Outlook icon in system tray.
2. In the context menu click on “Test E-mail AutoConfiguration…”
3. In the dialog popped up enter your email address and your password.
4. Uncheck “Use Guessmart” and “Secure Guessmart Authentication”.
5. Click Test.
6. After the test finishes examine Results tab content for a section Protocol: Exchange HTTP (you may need to scroll down a bit). Copy the "Server" Value
7. Browse to c:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Recovery Manager for Exchange\Lists\
8. There should be a number of .list files one for each of your registered storages. (These changes will only need to be made in the list files that are registered for Online Exchange 2013 mailboxes) You can find out what they are by opening doing a search for the Mailbox name.
9. Open the .list file with a text editor and look for a line that contains <RohProxyServer> </RohProxyServer>
10. Replace the entry that is between <RohProxyServer> </RohProxyServer> with the value you copied from Step 6.
11. Search for <RohProxyAuthScheme>AuthBasic</RohProxyAuthScheme> and change the AuthBasic to AuthNTLM and save the file and then go back into Recovery Manager for Exchange and you will be able to expand the mailbox.
