How to remove stale objects on a schedule (Weekly or Monthly) as a rule? (4319561)

How can we remove stale objects on either weekly or monthly basis, to improve server performance?

WORKAROUND:

Please run the groovy script as a rule & schedule it.

1. Download attached Delete_stale_VMWFile_Snapshot.txt to your Foglight home directory
2. Access the jmx-console and login with default Foglight user and password:
   http://your_fms:port/jmx-console/
3. Scroll down to "service=ImportExport" and click on it
4. Search this page for  void importFromFile()".
   Enter the filename in the "ParamValue" field (without quotes)   "delete_stale_VMWFile_Snapshot.txt " and select "Invoke".
5. A success message will be displayed as a confirmation
6. Go to your FMS/Rules page and search for "Delete VMWFile and Snapshot stale objects" rule.

Schedule Driven options are pre-defined schedules that you can find it under:
Administration | Schedules | Manage Schedules.

This dashboard has the schedule name & Next Scheduled Time.

IMPORTANT:      Stale objects removal can also be automated via Object Cleanup dashboard.
