Some environments may have a centralized Notes Address Book which all users can access.
How can this address book be migrated and be ensured that all users have access to it after the migration?
As this cannot be migrated automatically with Notes Migrator for Exchange, this manual workaround may be useful:
WORKAROUND:
1. Create a collection in the tool that contains a dummy user, or even just the administrator account.
2. From the Manage Collections window, select the collection and then "Export to TSV"
3. Open the .tsv file with Excel and ad the path to the nsf file in the "PABPaths" column. Save the file, then close it and choose do not save.
4. Back in the tool, import the tsv from the "Export Notes Directory" page.
5. Choose "Locate Notes datastores" from the list and choose your collection with the one user in it, then click "Locate Data Stores".
6. The second screen that asks what to locate, choose "Find new data stores" and "Replace all previously..." then check "Personal Address Books(PABs)" only and proceed.
7. On this next window you should now have a 3rd option which says "Use PABPaths and or SharedPABDirs from database (1 or 1 populated) - choose that and continue.
8. On Specify Data to Migrate page select "Migrate personal address books" option
Now that the tool knows where the file is and it is "Linked" you can migrate that collection and choose the destination to go to PST.
Once you have the pst you can copy the contents to a Public Folder and make it available as an address book.
