How to display Ship Date for DELL devices in Device Inventory list page (4318286)

With the DELL Warranty feature, Kace SMA is capable to collect some useful information about DELL services such as Ship Date and it will show up in the Device inventory record. but these fields are not available to display on main Device Inventory page but there are some steps that can be taken in order to get this information showing up.

• Create a custom field on Device Asset Type called Ship Date
  • Click on Asset Management | Asset Types | Devices
  • Inside the Asset Type Detail, scroll down to Asset Fields and click "+" sign to add a field
    • On name call it "Ship Date" 
    • "Type" set it to "Date" 
    • Device section, leave it as " Asset Information"
    • Click save

    

• Get a report created with topics: Device and Dell warranty
  • Select the fields for system name from device and ship date from DELL warranty

  

• Export report results to csv
  • Accommodate for the field mapping, make sure ship date data has the format: yyyy/mm/dd otherwise this won't work

  

• Do an Asset import from Asset Management | Import Assets
  • ​Asset type: Device
  • Set Asset Name as PK
  • Make the mapping to match accordingly 

  

• Make Ship Date a visible column
  • Click on the wrench icon below the search bar, Ship Date will be showing up

  

• Ship Date now should reflect on device inventory page.
