"You don't currently have permission to access this folder" after file copy
Description

Files are copied between storage devices with no error using Secure Copy.
When the owner of the files clicks to gain access, they are presented with a system message:
"You don't currently have permissions to access this folder.
Click Continue to permanently get access to this folder"
Cause

This is not an error. It is a system message.
User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on the operating system of the target file system and is triggering a security alert.
Resolution

Via Control Panel | User Accounts disable UAC on the Target storage system for the duration of the copy job, or run UAC at a lower security level.
In Windows 2012, the option is available to turn off UAC via registry by changing the DWORD "EnableLUA" from 1 to 0 in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system".
NOTE: Disabling User Account Control will require a reboot of the operating system on the storage device.
