Why does the Change Auditor upgrade set the Change Auditor database Recovery model to Simple?
Description

During the Change Auditor upgrade, no matter the current setting on the Change Auditor database Recovery model, the upgrade process will set the Recovery model to Simple. Why does it upgrade the Recovery model?
Resolution

The primary reason why Change Auditor sets the Recovery mode to Simple is speed. In Simple model, SQL does not write to the SQL transaction logs, therefore, writes to the Change Auditor database are faster. In addition, the Simple recovery mode requires the less administration.
If Full or Bulk-logged Recovery model is required in the organization, the Recovery model will need to be set back after each Change Auditor upgrade.
