Title
"DB2 LUW" or "DB2 ZOS" connections are not currently licensed. -
Description
After attempting to connect to a database amd the following error is given:
"DB2 LUW connections are not currently licenced."Or
"DB2 ZOS connections are not currently licenced."

Cause
Authorization key might have been keyed in incorrectly.
Authorization key might not be licensed for the expected type of database.
Toad is licensed for LUW connection or ZOS connections separately. Base LUW keys cannot connect to ZOS and vice versa.

Resolution
Note, if attempting to connect to a Z/OS database, make sure the license key registered is specific for Z/OS. If it is a Base LUW key, access to Z/OS is not supported. Professional LUW may be able to connect to Z/OS, but access to features may be limited.
Verify that the key being used is intended for the type of DB2 database being accessed. License details are noted under Help | Licensing. It is possible to have multiple keys. The "active" key will be noted as "License (active)" in the tab. Other keys not needed can be deleted by using the delete option in the License tab for that specific key
To verify the key follow up with Licensing.
Under License Request Details note what type of database you intend to access (i.e. Z/OS or LUW) and include the current license key and site message being used in Toad.

Additional Information
Toad for DB2 may be installed with a trial key initially. These are high level Professional edition keys. These may enable features that are not included in the commercial/purchased key. Once the trial expires, Toad will roll over to any other registered key. If another key is not registered at the time of expiration, the user may be prompted to enter in a commercial key.
