Unable to uninstall Notes Migrator worker if registration to MCC was not successful
The silent install is used to install the Notes Migrator migration worker application, but the incorrect IP address was used from the controller in the command line.
For example:
msiexec /i "CMTeWorker.msi" SERVICEURL="192.168.4.120" /quiet
This is the wrong IP address for the controller.
When you try to uninstall the worker from the control panel you get an error when the worker tries to un-register itself from the controller.
The following error is throw:
Error 1722: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action caUnregWorker, location C:\Program Files (x86)\Binary Tree\CMT for Excahnge\Worker\UnregWorker.exe.
SolutionThe following registry key on the migration workstation can be edited to correct the IP address of the controller.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Binary Tree\CMTE\Workstation\
Master_CMTXMLService
SyslogServer
Once this key is edited you will be able to uninstall the migration worker application without the error.
