Issue
When migrating user mailboxes, we have a password popup for every mailbox to convert.
However, we are logged in with the same domain admin user on the workstation and Outlook.
Outlook starts without prompt, opening the CMT temp profile is also OK. (no password prompt)
- a CMTE MAPI profile is created using an admin account for Exchange
- the windows session is opted with this very same account
- when launching migration, the CMT temp profile is correctly created.
- when launching outlook and opening the CMT temp profile, it doesn't ask for credentials
Yet, starting a migration from the MCC or any migration workstation does popup request for credentials.
Solution
Within the MAPI profile settings
Click "More Settings" button
Click on "Connection" tab
Uncheck the box for "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" if using version 4.5.x or older versions.
Check your account settings and make sure they are not set to prompt for credentials.
Verify "Prompt for Credentials" isn't checked in profile:
• Start Outlook.
• Choose File. | ...
• Select your Exchange account.
• If prompted, in the Password: text box, type your password.
• Click the Change button.
• Click the More Settings button.
• Select the Security tab.
• Deselect the "Always prompt for logon credentials" check box.
Close, and retry migration
