Description
When using the GUI to backup to TSM, you may receive an error similar to this:
TSM error - ANS1025E (RC137) Session rejected: Authentication failure -
Resolution
Create a dsm.opt file in an alternative location with simply the following in the file:
TCPSERVERAddress servername
Then in the wizard, specify the node name and password explicitly. -
Additional Information
If you are running on another server with same options file, meaning that you have the PASSWORDGENERATE option, then you will need to run the create options file through the Tivoli client backup application wizard. (This will install the encrypted backup)If you remove the PASSWORDGENERATE option and specify the password/node through the LS TSM backup wizard, this is not required.
