Issue
I completed the copy of my archive file to my local machine. I opened the file and so far everything looks to be good as far as seeing archived data. The one thing I am getting, is old reminders to pop-up. When I select the option to “Dismiss All”; I receive the following message.
"Cannot turn off the reminder you may be reminded again, You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation"
Is there a permission setting somewhere that needs to be changed?
Solution
It seems these entries have some level of corruption.
The Microsoft forums recommended deleting the calendar entries, since dismissing the reminders does not work, and they will display the next time Outlook is loaded.
This blog discusses the steps to remove the corrupt items http://lastplaceonthe.net/fix-outlook-turn-reminder-errors/
