Issue
I am installing Notes Migrator (NM)
I uninstalled NM
Rebooted
Run NM installation again
I am unable to enter the IIS credentials.
I've received an error: "Unable to verify credentials", and I do not know why. The Computer Browser service is started, I have verified they are correct.
Solution
If this a new installation of Notes Migrator, make sure you reboot the machine after installing the IIS components/rolls.
Make sure the Workstation Administrator Account is enabled.
1. Type secpol.msc in the search bar and hit enter.
2. After the Local Security Policy pops up, navigate to Local Policies- Security Options where you can see an entry that reads Accounts: Administrator account. Double click the entry to enable it.
or
Make sure 'IIS 6 Management Compatibility' boxes are checked in the IIS install.
For Windows 7: Control panel / program and features - Check all four boxes under the 'IIS 6 Management Compatibility' section
For Windows Server 2008
Enable the 'IIS 6 Management Compatibility' boxes in the Windows Rolls section
Reboot is required, then run the Notes Migrator install.
or
The client has a root domain (corp) and a child domain (child); the MCC server is a member of "corp" as was is the service account.
When trying to install NM using the account in "child", the install is throwing the error " Unable to verify Credentials" when entering the IIS Application Pool Identity service account. Despite entering "CORP\username", the install message is indicating that it has an invalid username or password. Only while logging in as the "corp" account was the install allow to continue.
Another work around would be to login as local host. When entering in you username and password you can use "localhost\username" instead of "Corp\Username" to install to the local machine. Once the install has finished you will then have to change default application pool in IIS to Local system otherwise you will get an "503 system unavailable" when trying to load the CMT.exe application. See that attached word document for instructions on changing the application pool.
