Currently user are prompted to log in to the Archive Manager website when trying to open stripped messages in Outlook
Users receive errors when trying to open stripped messages in Outlook
Please follow the instructions below for confirming that Windows Authentication Mode is configured correctly,
1. Under Authentication Mode in Archive Manager Administration web site select Windows Authentication and click Update
2. In IIS Manager, expand Server Name, expand Web Sites, right click the Archive Manager web site, select Properties, select Directory Security tab, click the Edit button and confirm that only Integrated Windows Authentication is selected.
3. On the system connecting to the Archive Manager web site, launch Control Panel, select Internet Options, select Security tab, click Trusted sites, click the Sites button and add the URL to the Archive Manager web site.
4. On the system connecting to the Archive Manager web site, launch Control Panel, select Internet Options, select Security tab, click the Custom Level button, scroll to User Authentication and confirm that Automatic logon with current username and password is selected.
5. In Outlook, confirm that the Archive Manager Form has been downloaded by selecting the Tools Menu, Options, select the Other tab, click the Advanced Options button, click the Custom Forms button, click the Manage Forms button, confirm that AfterMail is in the left window and if so, please click the Clear Cache button. Close out of Outlook and re-launch for the Form to take affect.
6. If the AfterMail Form is not installed please do the following, select the Tools Menu, Options, select the Other tab, click the Advanced Options button, click the Custom Forms button, click the Manage Forms button, click the Install button, select the Files of type drop down menu, select Form Message (*.fdm), now provide the UNC path to the Archive Manager Server (\\ServerName\AdminShare) or map a drive to Program Files\ArchiveManager\ArchiveManagerTools and select the AfterMail.fdm file and click open.
The stripped messages in Outlook should now open seamlessly.
