FglAM fails to connect on AIX with Error caused by: "The socket name is not available on this system" -
Description
A newly installed FglAM fails to connect to the FMS with the message below:
ERROR [Upstream Polling-0] com.quest.glue.core.comms.transport.http.Client - Error transmitting message to upstream server http://fms:8080.
com.quest.glue.common.comms.CommunicationException: Could not send request to upstream host http://fms:8080
...
Caused by: java.net.BindException: The socket name is not available on this system. -
Cause
It is thought this failure occurred because of multiple NICs, the FglAM does not know which NIC to connect to.

Resolution
WORKAROUND
Restart the FglAM with either one of these two options:
- Start the fglAM with "-b IPADDRESS" of one of the IPs of the NICs.
- Start the fglAM with "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true" option
