Using bookmarks in Foglight 6.1 and higher (4311688)

Bookmarks can be managed from left navigation menus in the Angular UI (User Interface) of Foglight 6.1 and higher using the new bookmark icon at the top of the navigation menu.

Creating a bookmark

1). Navigate to the page that will be bookmarked in the Foglight main page. For this example, the Services Status page of a SQL Server agent will be used.

2). Click the bookmark icon at the top of the UI

3). A popup will be displayed in the center of the main page. Enter a bookmark name. A checkbox is also preset to send an email with a link to this bookmark. Enabling the checkbox will open your default email app with the link added, than the user can send the link to others. Next, click the Add button. 

 5). The new bookmark will be created for the user to access the page directly from the UI.

Deleting a bookmark

1). Click the trashcan icon next to the bookmark in the navigation to delete a bookmark created in Foglight 6.1 and higher.

2). A confirmation popup will appear in the center of the main window. Click the Delete button to remove the bookmark.

Managing bookmarks created in earlier versions of Foglight 6.0 and below, or those created using the Classic (WCF) User Interface

1). Bookmarks created before Foglight 6.0 and using the Classic interface will display a tooltip indicating that the bookmark cannot be deleted through the new UI. The message is "This bookmark was created using the classing web console, please navigate to the classic web console to remove it".

2). Click this icon in the navigation to open the classic web console

3). In the classic web console bookmarks area, click the red minus icon to delete the bookmark.

4). Click the delete button in the popup that appears to remove the bookmark.
