Description
The following message appears in the Foglight Management Server installer executable when upgrading to 6.x from a lower release using a SQL Server FMS repository using the Foglight Management Server installer.
"The Foglight cannot be upgraded because of cartridge version incompatibilities."
This message appears in the upgrade_failed_log
Install Action: FoglightUpgradeRequirementCheckConsoleException: java.sql.SQLException: I/O Error: DB server closed connection./The Foglight cannot be upgraded because of cartridge version incompatibilities. Please check the log file for the specific cartridges which need to be upgraded.Status: FATAL ERROROr in the installation logs:

Cause
The incompatibility message appears before the SQL Server based FMS repository can be queried. The issue is related to the connection the SQL Server FMS repository but the root cause is unknown. -
Resolution
Run the installer with the following flag from the command line
-Dquest.cartridge.check.disabled=true
Using Linux for example, the command would be
./Foglight-6_0_0-install_linux-x86_64 -i console -Dquest.cartridge.check.disabled=true
