Description:
erwin DM 2020 R2 has the functionality to save and attach a Naming Standard glossary file to models in Mart. How can the NSm be removed from a model in Mart if it has already been associated previously?
Solution:
Follow the steps below to remove a previously attached NSM file to a model in Mart. This applies to erwin DM 2020 R2 and later.
First, how an NSM file can be attached to a model in Mart. Using erwin DM 2020 R2 GA version of Mart, go to NSM file management and select an NSM file that you would like to attach to a model.
How to detach the NSM file:
Earlier in the GA version there was no way to remove / detach this attachment as selection checkbox was not retained. It has now been addressed. If the model is attached earlier with a NSM file, next time if you follow step below, you can see the model attached. If you wish, you can remove the selection to remove the NSM file from the model.
This was fixed to ensure that if any user mistakes were done in this process, it can be reversed.
