Description
You may receive the below error when backup up a AD LDS (ADAM) server:
"Unable to connect to LDAP server. Target server: localhost. Port XXXX. Unable to connect to LDAP server. Server Down." (where XXXX is a port number for the instance)

Cause
One ore more of the installed AD LDS instances have their corresponding service in a stopped state.

Resolution
Ensure all ADAM instances services are running. The backup will fail for all instances if one is in a stopped state.
